My office hours are on Thursdays. I will be in my office during 2nd and 4th blocks so that you can meet with me.
Ideally, whether you are missing a little bit of class or a little bit of internship, your mentor/teacher needs 24-48 hours notice that you will be meeting with me. Make absolutely sure that the class/little bit of internship you're missing is non-vital and that your mentor/teacher feels good about the situation. In case of an urgent meeting, use your best judgement, but remember that we absolutely value the time of teachers and mentors and must project that impression at all times. As always, I am available 7:45-8:15 and 3:30-4:00 most days, but if you don't make an appointment, I may be somewhere besides my office during those times. If I know you're coming, I will prioritize you over whatever else I'm doing. I am available by appointment for lots of different times, so always feel free to contact me. I teach another class 3rd block, but otherwise I should be able to fit you in, as long as your mentor/teacher is comfortable with your absence.

There are as many ways to plan and organize research as there are people doing research! But it's important that we plan. Concept map drafts are due Monday, and I need to see that you're starting to contemplate what's possible and exciting for you to pursue, even though we all know it's too soon for it to be completely fleshed out at this point. We're definitely in the brainstorming phase, so make it rain ideas! Here's some stuff I've learned recently from the Museum of Design Atlanta. |
